beatmania III was released on March 8, 2000.

"beatmania III" added a foot pedal to the five keys and turntable used by players. The "beatmania III" series was short lived with only a few releases and a series run of only two years, ending in 2002. Many songs from "beatmania III" were ported to the "beatmania IIDX" series as well as other Bemani games.
